The missing Shard part 24Grunting with the effort, I managed to send the wolf tumbling from my body with a large shove of my elbows. It skidded through the leaves as I flipped myself back onto my feet, drawing my scimitar, smiling. "What's your problem?" I grinned, holding my scimitar so the light caught it. The wolf backed away slightly at the sight of the blade, and didn't try to attack again. In fact . . . it looked reproachful. Sighing slightly, I let my scimitar fall a little bit. Boring wolves.
